Can’t you smell that horrific smell and hear that horrific sound that comes from the toilet when you flush it? That my friend is a Lewisville sewer leak in all of its glory!
You could be asking yourself what happened. Believe it or not, it’s not something you flushed down the toilet (doesn’t mean that you should be dumping everything down the bowl either).
Roots and soil changes are responsible for the horrible rotten egg smell. What happens is the root makes it down and separates the pipe from the sewer system and that causes water to sprout up.
Sprouting water equals pools of water in yard and if you don’t catch the sewer leak, you will have some serious foundation problems. If the of rotten eggs is still around and you don’t see any water, you may have a gas sewer leak.
Gas sewer leaks are from broken or crack pipes. Gas leaks are very combustible, so if you see your toilet water evaporating and there is a fowl stench in the air, call one of our expert plumbers immediately.
Some other tips are check your sewers regularly as an early detection method and keep a close eye on your water bill to see if it has skyrocketed! There are a couple of leak detection kits out there as well.
Don’t let that smell surround you! Call C & W Lewisville Plumbing Company to help you with your sewer water leaks and sewer gas leaks.
